The correct charger for the GT4 Dual — and the only one we would put near it.

58.8 V, 3 A output, matched to the GT4 Dual’s 52 V 18.2 Ah pack and to what its battery management system expects. A full charge from empty takes six to seven hours. Genuine isinwheel, not a generic substitute with the right-shaped plug.

How to check yours

Read the label before you order

Turn your old charger over. The plate has to read OUTPUT: 58.8V — 3.0A. If it says 54.6 V, it is the charger for one of our lower-voltage models, such as the D2 or S10MAX, and this is not the part you need — email us the model name and we will tell you which charger you need. The GT4 Dual’s pack is 52 V nominal, which charges to 58.8 V; a 54.6 V unit with a matching plug will connect happily and simply never fill it.

Why the exact charger matters

“Close enough” is how lithium packs die early

A lithium pack is charged to a precise voltage ceiling. A charger that overshoots stresses the cells on every single cycle; one that pushes more current than the BMS was designed for generates heat inside a sealed compartment. Neither failure announces itself — you simply find, a year later, that the range has halved.

A plug that fits is not evidence that the voltage is right

Charging plugs are shared across many scooters; charging voltages are not. A 54.6 V charger with the same plug would connect to a GT4 Dual and never fully charge it; a higher-voltage unit with the same plug would connect too, and slowly cook the pack. Using a non-approved charger also voids the commercial warranty — and it is one of the very few things that actually does.

Do not use it on other models

This charger is specific to the GT4 Dual. Do not use it on any other model we sell — the D1 and D2 series, S-Nova, S-Nova Pro, S9 Pro, S10MAX, GT1 Dual, H7Pro and all our e-bikes run lower-voltage packs. If you need a charger for a different model, email us with the model name and we will tell you which one you need.

Battery care

Getting the most from it

Let it cool firstAround twenty minutes after a hard ride before you plug in. Charging a hot pack ages it faster.
Never charge below 0 °CBring the scooter indoors and let the pack reach room temperature. Cold charging causes permanent damage.
Unplug when it finishesRather than leaving it connected every night. The BMS will stop, but there is no benefit in floating.
80–90% for daily useCharging to full only when you need the range noticeably extends the life of any lithium pack.

More on battery life

We wrote a longer guide on this: how to make your e-scooter battery last years, not months. It is the single cheapest way to protect the most expensive part of your scooter.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will this charge my GT4 faster than the original?

No — it is the same 3 A specification as the charger supplied with the scooter, so charge time is the same six to seven hours. It is a replacement or a spare, not an upgrade.

My charger light stays green and the scooter will not charge. Is the charger faulty?

Sometimes. More often it is a connector or the BMS refusing to charge a pack that is too cold or too deeply discharged. Bring the scooter indoors for a few hours and try again before replacing anything — and email us if it still will not take a charge.

Can I use a third-party 58.8 V charger?

Electrically it may work, but the current limiting and the cut-off behaviour vary between manufacturers, and it voids the commercial warranty. On a 946 Wh pack we would not take the risk for the sake of a few euros.

Which plug does it have?

It ships with the plug type for the country it is delivered to. If you need a specific type, note it in your order and we will match it.

Do you stock chargers for other models?

For some models, yes: the S-Nova charger and the D2 / D2 Plus charger are both in our spare-parts range. For any other model, email us with the model name and we will confirm the right voltage and whether we can supply it. Using the wrong one is the most expensive mistake an e-scooter owner can make.
